Hi my name is Becky. I too gave birth to 2 beautiful baby girls that were TTTS. In November they will be 4 years old. I was induced at 37 weeks. Baby A the recipeint baby was d/c with me but my donor baby, baby B was in NICU for 8 days. She was born with pnuemothorax. Over a month later, the day after Christmas, we were on our way to the hospital again after she would not keep anything down for almost 2 weeks. We kept changing formula's thinking that might be what the problem was. My mother in law who is an RN recommended giving just pedialite to clean out her system before trying another formula of which we did. However even that would not stay down, and I mean we're talking exorcist vomiting at times. An ultrasound revealed she had pyloric stenosis, the end of her stomach muscle closed up, not allowing the flow of anything to go through only resulting in it coming back up. She underwent laproscopic surgery for that. Since then both twins have been diagnosed with asthma and allergies of which they have an inhaler and take singulair. Part of that can be contributed from myself and my husband who are both the same. My question to anyone who reads this is, has anyone experienced or has your pediatrician stated, any kind of emotional problems being related to the TTTS. My donor baby girl has a very bad anger problem and she isn't even 4 yet. She does not like the word no and throws tantrums that are out this world. And even though I was worried that she may have urination problems with her bladder becoming invisible before the procedure she is just the opposite. She is still wetting at night and still has accidents. My recipeint baby also has a bad attitude with things but is more laid back and doesn't react quite as intensly. Is this all normal of the TTTS and being shrink wrapped in the the womb? Has or is anyone else ever experienced this with your babies? Please help or advise me of where I can go for more information. I've been searching but don't seem to find information on this. My pediatrician is not familiar with the TTTS and after effects. Thank you.
