After laser surgery and a blood transfusion (to our donor baby) for TAPS we recently learned that our donor baby passed at 23 weeks. This has been the most
difficult week of my life. I've experienced floods of emotion that I didn't know were possible and find myself making plans for my angel baby that no
mother ever wants to make.
At the same time I want to plan for the future, hoping for the best for my survivor baby. My question is regarding delivery. I will be asking my doctor on Tuesday about delivery options and wonder what your doctors told you.
-Did your doctor offer the option to deliver your survivor and angel babies vaginally?
-Under what circumstances would your doctor do so? (ie. Weeks gestation, positioning of babies, etc.)
-Was pitocin used or required?
-Was natural delivery (no pain meds) an option for you?
-Did they use internal f.e.t.a.l monitoring?
Thank you for your guidance and sharing and God bless all of you who have gone through and are going through the pain and sorrow that is TTTS.
