My name is Deborah Crowe and gave birth to my twin boys on 12/24/08. They were at 28 weeks and 6 days gestation. Since then it has been 3 steps forward and 2 back. Barton which was the donor has had to have 3 exchange blood transfusions due to Bellirubin (this is what causes jaundice) they cannot figure out why his Bellirubin levels would not come down since this usually only happens when the babies blood is different than mom's this wasn't the case we both have the same. So dad and I have had our blood drawn to see if we have any strange anti-bodies that may have caused it. The blood specialists had never saw this before so they have no answers for us. But it has came down but there is still a slight risk for him to have cerebal paulsy. He doesn't have any bleeding of the brain or at least the scans do not show it. So we are praying and hoping everyday. Brayden has had to deal with high acid in his blood that is where the carbon dioxide is not completely expelling from his body so he has went from room air to a CPAP again. But they are both gaining and are feeding on milk. Now if we can get over the hurdles.
